Who is responsible

IAM Compared at iamcompared.com is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we"). We decide how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us only through the contact page; we do not publish an email address, phone number or postal address.

The short version

The site has no user accounts, no payments, no comments and no analytics. You can read every page and use the comparison tools without telling us anything about yourself. Personal data reaches us in two ways: when you send the contact form, and through the technical logs our host keeps.

What we collect

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. If you choose the topic Copyright notice, also the work you describe, the address of the material on this site, your two statements and your electronic signature.
  • Host logs. When your browser requests a page, the hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix faults.
  • Browser storage. The site's code does not write anything to cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage.
  • Google Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When they load, your IP address and browser details reach Google, which serves the font files.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure the site and to read and answer the messages you send. Where a law requires your consent for something, we ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who else sees it

Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site for us; the form delivery provider once the contact form is connected; and authorities where the law requires disclosure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. We are based in Israel, which has an adequacy decision from the European Commission.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as we need to deal with them, then deleted. Host logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.

Your rights

EU and UK. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority.

California. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you can ask to know and delete the personal information we hold and to correct it, and you can opt out of sale or sharing, which we do not do. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Israel. You have the rights given by the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, including reviewing information held about you and asking for it to be corrected or deleted.

To make a request, use the contact form with the topic Privacy request.

Children

The site is written for people who buy or run identity software. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does with data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
